ANIME LOS ANGELES RECAP

ALRIGHT! Before I forget and become to busy to remember all the great happenings that was Anime Los Angeles--- Let's recap with pictures!

SATURDAY:

Eddie and I arrive in LA on Saturday at 4:30 in the morning. T___T; I still don't know how Eddie manages to drive without much sleep. Either way-- I get home to find that my wig came in! <3 I was really worried! I had ordered it on Tuesday-- and could only pray that it would arrive in 3 days and not 5. XD Procrastination! We sleep a little before we head over to Dustin's house around 9:30 to finish Stockings costume. XD

We left Dustin's house at the record time of 2:00pm! We were in awe that there was still light outside.





It was really cold. T___T;

First person we run into was and !!

Wayne made this amazing crocodile. <3


It was really nice to run into them because we rarely get the chance to chat at conventions. D: And I still owe her a hotdog.

We run into looking lovely in her scanty Scanty with her boyfriend Trevor!  <3 We loaf around a bit! Run into and his lovely girl friend, who gives us his badge so we can sneak into the con's food suite for some cheese puffs and candy.

We had spotted Ava, Josh, and Nicole walking around-- so we made it a mission to find them and we did. And we were happy.

Then we head off to shoot with Andy and Al around the convention all.

Dustin changes out of brief to meet with for some pokemon battles! While we go for some Burger King breakfast/lunch/dinner.


BATTLE!

We come back to the convention! I run into Wilson and Will whom I haven't talked to for so long. Then we do some shooting with Eric! And along the way I run into and her boyfriend!! Ahhh! Up until then I had only seen her DA-- and I had always thought she was very pretty! It was so nice to meet her in person. Cute as ever!

Then we finally see ! <3 HAPPINESS!

To be honest-- I had a hard time being Stocking because I laughing so much. XD She's so emo-gothic-candy.. and I didn't even have any candy to help me!

After a while-- we just ended up in the middle of the hallway-- in front of Tako and Peter's door, laughing about and being silly. We also run into and its always lovely to have her around.






Eric and Julia were trying to teach me how to use my camera that I got for Christmas. X3 I really suck at shooting with it...



Here he is me to click when I exhale. mhmmm We head over to 's room for some singing on the balcony and what not...



Before we call it a night and head back to Dustin's house to start of Iris' Anemone dress from Eureka 7. When we get to Dustin's house-- we eat and eat. I fall asleep for a while, then Iris does... then as we try to start her costume-- Eddie, Dustin, Jimmy, and Brandon-- end up playing Naruto Shippuden on the wii till 5:30 in the morning.  *fail*

SUNDAY:

WE START IRIS' costume!-- around 9:30 in the morning! We get ready and leave around 3:00. T___T;




SO late.

I really don't remember much of what happened after. We did run into Julia again!! Who so kindly gave us starving children bread and peanut butter and candy. *SAVIOR*


We did a quick photoshoot with her before she went home. <3


As you can see-- my buttons are made of marshmallows JUST KIDDING.

After loafing around the convention all in search for food! We run into and outside of artists alley. We also run into UCLA anime-- WHOO and Johnny Saiko and Cheyenne and Muze and Minh. :3 After meeting up with Setsu-- we sort of end the con with a ridiculous finale.

We jump into the pool with our costumes on.


Ok. It was more of some of them were dragged in.

Then wigs came off.

We head into the jacuzzi to warm up. And decide that was probably not a great idea-- because we didn't bring any sort of change of clothes...

HOWEVER! We were saved by  the greatness that is Setsu.. who lent all of us clothes. <3 Not just any clothes too-- STYLISH CLOTHES!

Afterwards we rush to Sawtelle to meet up with Chloe, Trevor, Wayne, Muze, David, Ming, Haku... and some people whom I don't remember names of. >< sorry.... We eat at Curry House! <3


I'm sitting on the floor because there's not enough space. <3

We lastly head over to Beard Papa's for some cream puffs of glory before escorting Setsu back to her car and going home. Reluctantly-- we pack up our things from Dustin's place. We laugh thinking about how exactly we got into the pool because we don't really remember... And then we plan for our next get together-- somewhere around the end of January.

Then Eddie and I drive off into the sunset. (for the 5 hour trip back up to Monterey)

All in all, ALA was a blast. ALA was one of the first conventions I went to and I'm glad it hasn't really changed-- EXCEPT THAT YOU NEED BADGES FOR THE FOOD ROOM. WHY?! It was Eddie and Iris' first time at ALA and I think they enjoyed it. It's always fun meeting new people and seeing old friends. Even those you only see at conventions.
