Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Time for Some Change

OK. I'm back-- kinda. *u*

Guhuhuhu, its been a really busy quarter. :) I've been spending a lot of time trying to get focused on my projects. Ahaha. :)

Other than that! Yesteryday was a blast. After Thai Dance practice, I went to my studio, quickly made Jun the Swan Princess from Gatchaman's costume... And went to two events. :D

Many of you may know of GiantRobot. :D They had a Meiwa Denki project playing at the GR studios. :) We met the creator of Otamatone. :D Geez, his blue jumpsuit has to be the cutest uniform I've seen. :D After taking a few photos with him, we ate at the Asahi Ramen across the street and headed over to the Yoshitaka Amano Opening in Culver City. :D

I put my Gatchaman costume on in the car and warily walked the streets to the opening. Lol. Ahhhh-- It, again, has been a while since I've worn anything, so it was really fun. Gah. I'm glad I was able to wear it, even though I came 30 minutes before the show closed. Ahaha. :)

Anyway, life has been pretty sweet. :) There hasn't been very much going on really, other than school. Eddie visited for Valentines day! *u* And that was really nice. I always miss him. .__.; Drawing and doodling have been more productive than my sewing. :3 I've also been making lots of earrings-- kind of obsessively. Ahahaha.

Well-- this is just an update of life so far. I miss everyone. Sorry for being so busy and difficult. I'll spend more time here once I've downloaded a scanner software and photoshop. D:

So good to hear from you here again. You have such a range of interests and activities it is like reading about a rollercoaster ride. I sure hope we get to see this Jun cosplay, I can imagine you as her quite easily.
